The desire to express oneself through one’s clothing style and the pieces worn is the founding idea of the One Such project. But what do you think? What is the relationship between your style and your identity? Feel free to share your opinion in comments.
Interview with three young people from different backgrounds who are passionate about fashion.
“My style depends on the mood of the day”
Every day, our mood has a particular hue and quite different from other days. Our style will represent that mood we are in. Indeed, Ella can grab the first sweater she sees and the next day be attentive to every detail of her look. The main thread of her outfits is comfort.
For Kevin, the way he dresses can be compared to a suit. This one is infinitely changeable. Like a chameleon, Kevin adapts his style to the circumstances.
As for Margaux, she can go from classic to streetwear depending on the mood of the day. For her, our clothes express what we feel and reflect our state of mind in everyday life.
“My style is very personal”
“It’s time to assume yourself, to assume who you are”, Margaux tells us. It is not a question of hiding behind our clothes. On the contrary, we assert ourselves more.
The style, it is our personality shown to the eyes of all. In one sentence, Kevin sums up this vision perfectly:
“Tell me what you wear, I’ll tell you who you are”.
Your style, Your identity
In the past, men and women followed codes imposed by society: suits for some and dresses for others. Today, we have the opportunity to dress freely. “You wear it if you want. It’s you…you express yourself through your clothes,” Ella explains.
All three defend the diversity of styles as well as that of individuals: “We are all different, we all have our own style. We have to assume ourselves as we are and be proud of who we are.”
One Such, much more than fashion articles, a way to be yourself.
